- All the locals come together on the first Sunday in August at the traditional \u2018Tonnenabschlagen\u2019 festival, during which riders compete in smashing wooden herring barrels.<\/li>\n
- The \u2018Darsser Festspiele\u2019 festival offers entertainment for young and old alike packed with local flavour. And you can\u2019t get much closer to it that in our B\u00fcdnerhaus\u2026<\/li>\n
- Challenging fun and action \u2013 kiteboarding, surfing and lots more besides for beginners and experts in the local bay (e.g. with Born\u2019s kiteboarding school) or on the Baltic Sea.<\/li>\n
- Canoeing in the bay is really good fun. But, be careful – when it\u2019s windy and the water\u2019s choppy it can be quite demanding!<\/li>\n
- Horse-riding \u2013 Kafka riding stables (Im Moor 17)<\/li>\n
- Angling \u2013 if you\u2019ve forgotten any of your equipment, an angling gear rental shop can be found at Chausseestrasse 46.<\/li>\n
- The nearest golf course is in Ribnitz-Dammgarten \u2013 Fischland Golf Club, Pappelallee 23a, Ribnitz-Dammgarten<\/li>\n
- Last but not least \u2013 the sea! Sit down and relax on the beautiful, pristine Weststrand beach or explore it on foot or by bike (5 km). You can rent bikes in Born, e.g. from Neumanns Fahrradshop, Im Moor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
