  • Trips across the bay on a local ‘Zees­boot’ sai­ling ship can be boo­ked at the har­bour in Born.
  • Get yours­elf roped up and have fun in the adven­ture clim­bing forest on the Gut Darss farm esta­te.
  • Loca­ted on the same esta­te, a cra­zy golf cour­se offers an enjoya­ble chal­len­ge for young and old.
  • All the locals come toge­ther on the first Sunday in August at the tra­di­tio­nal ‘Ton­nen­ab­schla­gen’ fes­ti­val, during which riders com­pe­te in sma­shing woo­den her­ring bar­rels.
  • The ‘Dars­ser Fest­spie­le’ fes­ti­val offers enter­tain­ment for young and old ali­ke packed with local fla­vour. And you can’t get much clo­ser to it that in our Büd­ner­haus…
  • Chal­len­ging fun and action – kite­boar­ding, sur­fing and lots more bes­i­des for begin­ners and experts in the local bay (e.g. with Born’s kite­boar­ding school) or on the Bal­tic Sea.
  • Cano­eing in the bay is real­ly good fun. But, be care­ful – when it’s win­dy and the water’s chop­py it can be qui­te deman­ding!
  • Hor­se-riding – Kaf­ka riding sta­bles (Im Moor 17)
  • Angling – if you’ve for­got­ten any of your equip­ment, an angling gear ren­tal shop can be found at Chaus­see­stras­se 46.
  • The nea­rest golf cour­se is in Rib­nitz-Damm­gar­ten – Fisch­land Golf Club, Pap­pel­al­lee 23a, Rib­nitz-Damm­gar­ten
  • Last but not least – the sea! Sit down and relax on the beau­ti­ful, pris­ti­ne West­strand beach or explo­re it on foot or by bike (5 km). You can rent bikes in Born, e.g. from Neu­manns Fahr­rad­shop, Im Moor.
